The Garden
Ages: Adult Women

Time: Tuesday Evenings at 6:00-8:00 (not meeting during summer)

The Garden is an outreach to women who want to come to know God’s love, share with one another, and better understand the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The Garden is…an opportunity for women to come together in a casual atmosphere to laugh, ponder, and experience God’s love in a very real way.

The meeting usually begins with a social time and refreshments. The women also watch a video on a topic applicable to today’s woman and have a chance to discuss what they watched. This is a casual, come as you are, time to relax and unwind. Bring yourself and your friends. Come and enjoy! (Childcare is provided.)

20 Somethings
Ages: Young adults

Time: Wednesday Nights at 6:00pm

If you’re interested in connecting with other people your age, enjoying a meal together and studying scripture together, then come on over.  Children are welcome. Call for directions 540-577-1189 or e-mail us.

Host Families for College Students
Time: Flexible

God has blessed this church with college students from Washington and Lee, Virginia Military Institute, as well as other colleges at times! We have established a host family program to ensure that these students are welcome in the church. The host families simply “adopt” these students on Sundays and take them home with them for a meal. The students get to know each other and also families in the church. We strive to be a “home away from home” to these students, welcoming them with open arms. Contact the church office if you are interested.

Wednesday Night Prayer
Ages: Adult and children
Leader: Lucy McManamay
Time: Wednesday Night at 6:00

The prayer group focuses on praising God and offering prayers for the leaders and ministries of Faith Assembly. The group also prays for specific requests submitted to them. Often, time is allotted to pray individually and then as a group.

Wednesday Night Bible Study
Ages: Adult
Leader: Pastor Terry King
Time: Wednesday Night at 7:00

This group gathers in the fellowship hall for an open-discussion Bible study. We choose a book of the Bible and do a verse by verse exposition. People often share stories, insights, and foot notes from their Bibles to enhance our understanding of God’s Word.
