Challenging

Become a follower of Jesus!
You will be challenged to become a follower of Jesus. Becoming a Christian is the single most important decision an individual can make. We believe that decision is personal. You make that decision and then take the appropriate steps to make that a reality. The decision to become a Christian is not an event it is a process. As such, the day you make that decision to follow Jesus you are a Christian and as you grow in your relationship with Him, your Christianity becomes more and more real to you and to those around you. When you attend the services at Faith Assembly of God you will be challenged to follow Jesus Christ. The Word of God instructs us on how to become a follower of Christ:

• All of us are sinners and need forgiveness. (Romans 3:23)



• If you continue in your sin, you will die. If you ask for God’s forgiveness, you can have eternal life. (Romans 6:23)



• Confess your need for God’s forgiveness. Acknowledge Jesus’ ultimate sacrifice for sin. Believe that God raised Him from the dead. The Bible states that “Everyone who calls on Jesus’ name will be saved”. (Romans 10:9-10,13)



• God will confirm in our hearts that we are forgiven and that we are His children. (Romans 8:16)



• Go and live your life for God knowing you will give an account to Him for all you do. (Romans 14:12)

Live out your faith!
You will be challenged to live out your faith. It is not enough for any of us to simply pray a prayer and be satisfied with our decision. We must always be working on getting our lives together to live more effectively for Jesus Christ. We should also be active in communicating our faith to all of those around us. While not all of us are going to be pastors, we are all called to be disciples. As a disciple, my goal should be to take as many people to heaven with me as possible!
